About the job Die Repair - 2nd Shift
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Repair Technician to join our team in the automotive manufacturing industry. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with at least 2 years of relevant experience in die repair or a strong technical background with willingness to train.
Responsibilities include:
Repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies to original specifications
Use lift trucks, cranes, and die cleaning equipment for transport and maintenance
Read blueprints and use tools to build or replace cores, segments, and die parts
Polish, draw, or grind die cavity surfaces as needed
Perform in-place repairs and adjustments on mounted dies
Weld in both the Die Repair Dept. and foundry
Troubleshoot tooling issues during production
Maintain accurate work records and reports
Keep work area clean and organized
Train new team members
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Associates Degree, technical/trade school, or journey person certificate
2+ years experience in tool & die repair (or ability to complete 2 years of on-the-job training)
Proficient in welding, blueprint reading, and use of repair tools
Experience with grinding, polishing, and dimensional troubleshooting
Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers are a plus (not required)
This is a full-time, on-site role.
